Kris Crunk is a first call producer, programmer, and composer in Nashville, Tennessee. He has 4 Grammy nominations (3 for producing and 1 for mixing), won 2 Dove Awards for Southern Gospel Producer of the Year in 2021 and 2022 and recently was nominated for a Mark Award from the Production Music Association. In 2024, he won an Emmy Award for songwriting, recognized for his work on the song 'Great New Day,' created for WDRB in Louisville. 'Great New Day' has also been nominated for a GEMA (Global Entertainment Marketing Academy of Arts & Sciences) Award
With over 20 years in the Nashville music scene, Kris has contributed to numerous tracks for artists such as OneRepublic, Rascal Flatts, 5 Seconds of Summer, Jordon Sparks, Stephanie Block, Lauren Daigle, and many more.
In academia, he has served as a Professor of Music Technology at Union University and is an app developer for Soundflow, a software designed to enhance workflow for music creatives. Additionally, he is on the Avid Beta team for Pro Tools software and collaborates with numerous plugin companies.
His expertise extends to choir composing, with works published by companies like Choristers Guild and Hal Leonard. His compositions "The Fish Caught Him", "Once Upon a Manger Still" and "God Will Take Care of You" have been honored with a J.W. Pepper Editors' Choice Awards. Kris is also the co-owner of Boompak, a publishing company that produces resources for elementary school music teachers.
He recently signed with Blank Slate Music Group as an exclusive songwriter.
In addition to his production work, Kris is currently focusing on creating a large library of songs for use consistently on TV shows, commercials, and movies worldwide. With over 1800 original compositions in rotation, he is constantly heard on shows like CBS NFL Football, Holey Moley, TMZ, Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and Real Housewives of New Jersey. His work can be heard on networks such as, Discovery, Food Network, Nickelodeon, ABC, CBS, Disney+, MTV, TVLAND, and the BBC.
He also composes music for major movie trailers for Pitch Hammer, the world's leading trailer music company.
The most important thing in Kris’s life is his relationship to Jesus Christ his savior and his wife of 20 years Lisa and children Ethan and Emma. He is also an active member of Living Word Fellowship.
